Terry Fox is a Canadian Hero and we look forward to participating in the Terry Fox Run every fall. Of course, we think in art & crafts around here and so Terry Fox time equates to.........Terry Fox art! We were inspired to create these after reading "T is for Terry" An ABC of Courage" :)
WHAT YOU NEED:
surface to build on (we used wooden blocks so our art would stand up on a shelf!)
modeling clay
letter beads
mini cut-out of Terry Fox (Google & print)
HOW TO MAKE:
Begin by making the landscape that you want Terry to be running through. Warm clay is easiest to work with, so spend some time warming it up in your hands! The clay will smoosh and stick to whatever surface you chose :)
Caution: more "smooshing" ahead ;) Smoosh your paper Terry into the scene next.
Add letter beads (via smooshing) to create a word that represents Terry or his Marathon of Hope.

These will be tucked away in our fall bin until next September. I love how they turned out!
Happy running and happy creating!
Love, Linds
