Fabric & Push-Pin Pumpkin

I think this might be my favourite mess-free pumpkin yet! We had this set out throughout the week and it got more and more beautiful each day :)

WHAT YOU NEED:

• a pumpkin ;)

• push pins

• pieces of felt, fabric, or ribbon

HOW TO MAKE:

1. Review push pin safety rules!

2. Invite students to add to the pumpkin by securing pieces of fabric to the pumpkin with a push pin.

3. It's over when you say it's over!

I love this one because, when you trust little ones with "big kid" things, they feel very empowered. It's delightful to be part of :)

Also, wouldn't it be the most fabulous fall art show if every class used different fabrics (donated by families!) to create their very own fabric and push pin pumpkin?! I'm hoping to make this happen next year! Stay tuned!
