I have an ongoing debate in my brain over whether I like cool colours or warm colours more. Whenever we do an art project with cool colours, I'm CONVINCED they are the winners. But, then I go and do a project with warm colours and I'm unsure once again. Regardless, this cool colour art project has us smiling ear to ear! The palette is eye candy and the process lends itself well to a haphazard approach. BONUS, BONUS!
WHAT YOU NEED:
white paper (we used size 11 by 17)
sponges
scissors
paint (cool colours!)
white glue
cotton balls
optional: snowflakes (using stickers, a paper punch, crayons, etc)
HOW TO MAKE:
Use scissors to chop up some sponges into rectangles, triangles, and squares.
Pour paint onto a flat surface. We like to use scraps of cardboard or paper plates ;) Make sure you spread the paint out a bit so all parts of the sponge will stamp as desired.
Begin to create your cityscape. This part is so much fun! It looks extra fabulous if you use a variety of shapes and colours!
Once dry, use white glue to stick unravelled cotton balls to the bottom of your page.
Add your snowflakes to the sky in the way that works for you! We used our snowflake paper punch but crayons work just as well :)

Aren't they dreamy?!
We have them pinned up on our hallway bulletin board and I'm so very obsessed.
We hope you're enjoying the beautiful winter weather!
Love,
Linds XOXO
