Cardigan Weather (Fall & Winter Swiftie Art)

This art activity was prompted by a third grader who insisted we make clothes for Taylor Swift. Of course, I took that idea and ran with it because...............TAYLOR SWIFT. Obviously, a Travis Kelce option was added to the mix and the "clothes" became not dresses or skirts or tank tops but CARDIGANS. Like a true Swiftie, I took an unapologetic LEAP. You're welcome :)

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • sweater cut-outs (we used cardstock and a cricut machine, but you could definitely just cut these by hand!)

  • paper for background (we used cardstock)

  • washi tape

  • gem stickers (for buttons!)

  • Tay and Trav face cut-outs (Google search, print, cut!)

  • glue

  • optional: glitter (haha)

  • optional: text (it's cardigan weather)

*** feel free to message me and I will send you the face cut-outs and text we used!

HOW TO MAKE:
  1. Begin by using washi tape to create your shirt pattern.

  2. Add gem stickers as "buttons" to turn what looks like a sweater into a cardigan.

  3. Glue your cardigan and Tay/Trav cut-out to your background.

  4. Decorate your background as you like!

I'm thinking a garland of Tay and Trav in their cardigans would be the next logical follow-up activity. How cute would bunting of that nature be?! SO DARN CUTE.

Happy Cardigan Weather, Friends!

XOXO
