Cardboard Football (custom designed!)

ree

Listen, the Super Bowl is a longgggg event and you need something to do during the game, right? The girls and I love the food, the half-time show, and the potential Taylor Swift sightings.....but do we actually love sitting and watching the entire thing? HECK NO! Hence, crafts.

This one is themed for the big day and....you might even choose to frame them (like we did!)

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • cardboard

  • thick white yarn

  • Posca markers

  • tape

  • scissors

  • poking tool (so technical...we use our make.do mini-tool!)

HOW TO MAKE:

  1. Cut out a football shape from cardboard. We are big on the "ish". Football-ish shape.

  2. Create 4 slits at the ends of the football - 2 on each end, directly across from each other.

  3. Use a tool to make 8 holes - used to create the laces of the football. We eyeballed everything, looking at Phil's football. We're not the exact measuring type.

  4. Use white yarn to create the end markings on the football, as well as the laces. We secured the ends of the yarn on the backside of the cardboard using tape.

  5. Use Posca markers to decorate your football as desired.

I love both of these so much! We might just bring them back for the next Super Bowl....my heart is whispering for a Taylor Swift-themed ball. That would make the NFL fans so happy....mwaaaaa haaaa haaaa!

Happy creating!

Love,

Linds (PROUD SWIFTIE FOREVER AND EVER)
