In Canada, Pink Shirt Day is held on the last Wednesday of February. It is an annual, anti-bullying initiative with an impactful origin story. Read more about it HERE.
We decided to make our own pink shirts using the things we had in our beloved "scrap bin". We'd love for you to join-in and create one too <3
WHAT YOU NEED:
cardboard
hot glue and glue sticks
pink, acrylic paint
pink embellishment items (e.g. gems, paper scraps, pom-poms, gems, straws, ribbons, muffin cups, etc.)
white glue
black Sharpie marker
white cardstock paper
HOW TO MAKE:
Prepare the tees in advance! Do this by cutting out cardboard squares and then smaller, cardboard rectangles. Use hot glue to adhere the small rectangles to the backside of the square. Position them near the top, having them protrude as sleeves :)
Paint them pink!

Invite artists to write a message of kindness (using a Sharpie!) on a small piece of white cardstock. Artists can glue this onto their tee.
Embellish away!!!! This is the best part. Kids love to explore various materials, so the more the merrier when it comes to pink items! They can use white glue to stick everything on :)

I love how each one is different - just like us! Process art is a beautiful way to embrace individuality and send a message of love to the world <3
Sending you ALL GOOD THINGS! Happy creating :)
Love,
Linds XOXO
