Okay, okay, okay. Did we just live the week that we needed?! The week that we've been waiting for?! The week that reminds us that all other weeks are going to be okay because Taylor FREAKING Swift announced TS12 on her boyfriend's podcast?!
I will not calm down. My new personality is glittery orange and mint green. A nail appointment and hair tinsel are pending...
And then there's this:

I couldn't resist. If you compare her track list to this one, I think you'll find my brain especially exquisite ;)
Let's celebrate the best way we know how! With ART!

WHAT YOU NEED:
records (ours are thrifted!)
black acrylic paint
orange and mint green collage items (glitter paper, yarn, washi tape, ribbon, glitter, muffin cups, gems, etc)
white glue
scissors
optional: punches (e.g. star, circle) to make paper pieces more funnnn
HOW TO MAKE:
You don't have to, but I decided to paint the record information (near the center of the record!) with black acrylic paint. Although I appreciate both The Beatles and The Beach Boys, our focus here is TAY-TAY....and only TAY-TAY ;)
While the paint is drying, prepare the various collage items and set out some white glue.
While blasting your favourite era (or maybe while re-watching the New Heights Podcast), encourage artists to explore the various materials. I always encourage artists to glue down the larger, flat pieces first and then continue with the materials that "pop!"
It sure is, Trav.
There is so much TS12 anticipatory crafting we can do, friends! Stay tuned for more!
Happy creating!
Love,
A DIE-HARD SWIFTIE who also happens to be a DIE-HARD CRAFTER <3
