CONGRATULATORY POSTER FOR 2020 GRADUATES

With this activity, I’m hoping we can glue some broken hearts together. Please help us by creating a congratulatory poster for the 2020 graduates in your hometown!

WHAT YOU NEED:
paper
pencil
paint
paintbrushes
black sharpie
tape
HOW TO MAKE:
Use a pencil to create a congratulatory message to 2020 graduates in your area. We chose to celebrate our senior kindergarten, Grade 8, Grade 12, and University/College students.
Color in the message using paint (or markers!)
Allow your poster to dry. Use a black Sharpie to outline the letters. This makes them stand out and helps to smooth out the edges!
Use tape (we used clear tape) to stick your poster on a roadside window or door
ACTIVITY EXTENSION:
Encourage others on your street or in your neighbourhood to join the poster-making fun! Let’s surround these graduates with love and encouragement <3
CONNECTION STARTERS:
How do you think these students feel about their graduation being cancelled or different than expected?
How do you think these students will feel when they see our poster?
If we see a graduate in public, what are some things we can say to them?
THINGS TO CELEBRATE & ENCOURAGE:
showing focus/concentration while painting
recognizing letters, words, or numbers
creating art that makes others feel good
Imagine seeing one of these posters on every house in your neighbourhood! Together, we can make a difference and lift up those who need lifting.
Grab a coffee and LET’S GOOOOO!!!!!! Remember to tag @theartstadium on Instagram so we can bring our coffee over to your feed!
Happy connecting!
XOXO,
Lindsay
